On another subject, what the hell has happened to Michael Moore? I never would’ve taken him for the poopy pants covid-terrified vax-loving idiot he is proving to be. I guess I was wrong about him (and many other things, as I’m realizing regularly nowadays) all along. I don’t know whether to be disappointed with him or myself, but after making Sicko, how can he now become this pharma worshipping slime? I even sent him an email which I then published in my recently started blog -https://madcopycat.wordpress.com/2022/02/05/you-were-a-few-of-my-favorite-things-a-letter-to-michael-moore/ I didn’t go with substack because one of the main points of the blog is to learn Wordpress (I’m job-hunting and many of the roles I’m looking at require Wordpress knowledge so it seemed like the proper thing to do).
Anyway, your writing is deeply heartfelt and kicks ass. 😊
The world is still amazed at how brutally the Prime Minister of Canada ended the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa, using an Emergency Measures Act that had not yet even been approved by parliament. The House of Commons did, finally, approve Trudeau’s Emergency Measures — reserved for times of war — on February 22nd by a margin of 185-151. . we were shocked at the brutality that police were inflicting on the people who were assembled there — peacefully seeking a redress of grievances with the politicians that supposedly represent them. But we’ve now learned that many of those “police” were not Canadians at all — they were UN soldiers, who arrived on two airliners in North Bay, Ontario February 19th.
The Canadian Truckers, and our American counterparts, and honestly all truckers everywhere deserve your beautiful tribute. I'm thanking you on their behalf.
This is a beautiful tribute to the courageous and inspiring Canadian truckers. Thank you for reminding us how they have been resisting and slowly beginning to defeat tyranny. This is a wonderful Profiles in Courage.
One can certainly understand why the corporate media didn't cover this incredible historical event accurately or fairly (when they even covered it at all). Human beings have a natural desire to be free (except for the minority of psychopaths and sociopaths) and once people see the bravery of their fellow humans it becomes contagious. "They" certainly couldn't allow this to spread to the entire world and last for very long. But don't worry... they *always* have backup plans and we are seeing those plans come to fruition now: Scary war in Ukraine and scary bird flu and scary food shortages. Luckily, in my area, not many people are buying it this time around and that is extremely exciting. Personally, I really believe the monsters who are desperately trying to cling to power and change people are going to ultimately and disasterously (is that a word?) fail. Unfortunately, the fallout from their failure is going to affect all of us. We *must* stay strong and courageous. We are literally in a war for our very lives. What an incredible summary of the Freedom Convoy Ms Margaret. Thanks for reminding us of this amazing event.
There were a fair few people who thought the convoy of truckers for freedom were going to act like a bunch of crazies. After all they are the rude faceless rabble few think about unless they are wondering where their Amazon package is. Surely they will be mannerless and will misbehave. Turns out, just like almost every situation these days. the betters, the refined, the aristocrats turned out to be the the betters were the baddies. The rabble - were self-possessed, well spoken and utterly sympathetic everymen. To those who despise the truckers: Time to do a little self reflection - if it is even possible.
The goodies will win if we can manage to be brave, bold and truthful. exactly what they are not.

Where they still declare it is a 'State of Emergency' and exert their emergency powers and the people, heads down, shuffle through the malls masked. Drive their cars, alone, masked.

Unfortunately the masses attention spans are short and the powers that be try to keep it that way by moving from crisis to crisis to keep us in a state of confusion. Notice how the U.S. convoy was barely mentioned even in the so-called alt media and was definitely not mentioned on the MSM. No, Keeeeeeeev... is the next big thing in the propaganda world. The importance of reframing reality by the people, can not be understated. Meaning is fully dependent on context, and we've been provided context/meaning for far too long from those who seek to diminish the human spirt. My partner often says, how 'news-cycle mind' makes it impossible for people to absorb, let alone integrate important events. The trucker movement is not old news - though TPTB would like us to think so. It was a critical moment and event that requires revisiting. It will always be inspiring. So appreciate you doing just that. I feel fortunate and privileged to read your work.
