Beautiful writing worthy of a beautiful, defining moment. I’m always amazed by your meticulous linking of everything included in your essays (it almost feels like I was there; you don’t miss a thing!). Quite admirable but no wonder you can barely find time for a movie!

On another subject, what the hell has happened to Michael Moore? I never would’ve taken him for the poopy pants covid-terrified vax-loving idiot he is proving to be. I guess I was wrong about him (and many other things, as I’m realizing regularly nowadays) all along. I don’t know whether to be disappointed with him or myself, but after making Sicko, how can he now become this pharma worshipping slime? I even sent him an email which I then published in my recently started blog -https://madcopycat.wordpress.com/2022/02/05/you-were-a-few-of-my-favorite-things-a-letter-to-michael-moore/ I didn’t go with substack because one of the main points of the blog is to learn Wordpress (I’m job-hunting and many of the roles I’m looking at require Wordpress knowledge so it seemed like the proper thing to do).

Anyway, your writing is deeply heartfelt and kicks ass. 😊

Aww, thank you so much for this exquisite comment, midama! (And yes, now you know why recreational time has become a foreign concept to me ;-)

I agree re: Michael Moore! I find it incomprehensible that the director of “Roger & Me” has been so radically transformed that he is now siding with the tyrants against the working-class with absolutely no sense of shame, awareness, or recognition of his colossal hypocrisy. That shows the power of menticide, cognitive biases, Trump Derangement Syndrome, and plain old brainwashing. Plus, I guess he’s gotten a little too comfortable and has forgotten his blue-collar roots.

I tabbed off your article but can already tell I’m going to love it! Great idea to learn WordPress. You should still consider starting a Substack and replicating your content there, though, as you’ll reach a much broader audience, and your work deserves attention :-)

You know? That’s not a bad idea. I’ll sleep on it... for someone who‘s only ever wanted to read and write, I’m somewhat shy about the whole getting naked with words thing -not talking about erotica!😂- but, as Stephen King said, “If you expect to succeed as a writer, rudeness should be the second-to-least of your concerns. The least of all should be polite society and what it expects. If you intend to write as truthfully as you can, your days as a member of polite society are numbered, anyway“
