I've been called 'ignorant' by my father. When I mentioned people have died, he scoffed. He didn't know anyone who had died or been injured. I didn't have the heart to remind him he had spoken to me earlier a few months back on how to help him improve his memory (he is 83). I suspected prion disease but only mentioned he should stop the statins and start coconut oil. He figures if there was a problem then it would be reported on the news. When I mentioned I read research constantly (because I have direct and free access to medical journals by the thousands), he told me I should instead read cowboy novels (like Louis Lamour). I feel your pain.

Read cowboy novels over medical journals. Yikes. Maybe he has a point though Better to be ignorant at times. Ignorant people may sleep better, well unless the clot/heart attack kills them in their sleep.

Anyway we did what we could and that is all we could do. Now it is just watch and wait, and maybe try to get involved with our local government.

In my case, it is save for the funeral. They asked me to come to his birthday next summer. I declined as I am pretty sure there will be the family reunion at his funeral soon. Thank you for your kind words. It's hard when he spent my whole lifetime disrespecting me to think happy thoughts. But I got this.

Peer reviewed medical journals are losing credibility for the same reason TV medical information has. A few monopolists own academia and the publishing companies and the universities/journals rely on Big pHarma revenue to stay solvent.

I believe it was Ghislaine Maxwell's father (Robert Maxwell) who caused the change in medical journals to institute the peer review system.
