A gro store clerk checking me out in a smaller store (few around) chest pains. I asked her : “are you vaccinated?”. I sincerely was trying to be helpful. She gave me the oddest slightly hostile look. BUT, I sincerely think it made her think. She didn’t answer. I followed up with words of caring and prayer to asssure her I wasnt being hostile. She calmed down and thanked me. But my point, we do have to confront people with the truth. Not saying I always do this but certainly seemed appropriate then (just a few wks ago)
We were out with the kids last night at a local restaurant and a young woman was hosting a trivia night. Everyone was mask free except this young woman who was talking into the microphone masked. I calmly wrote a nice note on one of the trivia cards that said, “for goodness sakes, please take off your mask.” And then I listed a short list of online resources where she can find accurate info on masking. My 13 year old daughter said, “ I want to give it to her” which she did. The woman’s face had an immediate look of shock. I agree, it’s time to start confronting people.
