If I understand that to mean you are interested in a collaboration, I would say why not ) I've actually been a book reviewer for 25 years now, and this AI design is a new interest, less than half a year old. And I don't do just videos, I do illustrations, book covers etc., and it doesn't necessarily need it to be bleak, it all depends on the subject

Didn't know that, but I got to meet Yoko Ono and Jim Jarmusch, fall madly in love with a girl named Marie because she reminded me of the the first part of The Waste Land, go through a mental breakdown aka revelation (there are some transcendental things I keep on thinking of), write a review of Mulholland Drive that everyone seemed to like, get permanently hooked on Jonas Mekas (didn't get to meet his brother alas), write a midterm paper claiming that Ben Jonson was a graphomaniaс, hang up with lots of weirdos, make a few life-long friends from all over the world.
Also I probably did not know that William Gaddis was a Bard man, but "Recognitions" gave a name to my design startup, even though I haven't read the actual book yet 😂
One of our best friends is a huge fan of “The Recognitions,” and I’ve been trying to get to it for 20+ years. Since I no longer indulge in recreational content and only permit myself to read/watch things related to my Substack work and mission to defeat tyranny, I doubt I ever will.
I see. But I suspect his J.R. tells a lot about the tyranny's mechanism. Anyway, I hope to get a lot of cool stuff out of this book, stuff that could help finance the fight, among other things )

There's a South African guy I met at Bard who had been traveling with lectures on literature all over the world, he's also a pretty cool musician, playing some kind of hard rock. When I listened to him, I said "this sounds like Flower Travellin Band", sent him a link to Satori. He said he didn't know that, but it sounded exactly like what he wanted to make.
We will make a podcast eventually, and that's also cool because one of my great-grandfathers was a surgeon, even mentioned by Nabokov in Pnin, who went to South Africa to support Boers in their fight against the British Empire. We still have some tribal masks from SA at our dacha house )

I've been busy with social obligations ... including facilitating a workshop about some psychology and options of 'identity' at the local ward office in a couple of weeks. A lot of Japanese are going through the hikkikomori phenomenon (people dropping out of society because they can't keep in lock step with the herd), so am in a slow panic about how to make it a 'fun' and meaningful event.
Halloween is low-key this year by design (the government and shopkeepers in downtown Tokyo are fed up with foreign tourists and young Japanese high school / college kids taking things too far, so the police were out in the streets. But it was also low-key by chance. Most of Eastern Japan got smacked by heavy rains on Halloween night, so the only sign of celebration I saw was the stores selling masks that were not used, and a few themed cakes and candy.
The good news ... Steely Dan is still very popular over here in Japan, particularly with my generation. Though it feels a bit weird to occasionally hear a muzac / A.I. version as a convenience store back-track. 😂
I once became a hikimori for a couple of years in order to write my bachelor's work on "Lewis Carroll and the World of Future"; who knew that would become, in the long run, the best investment of time possible— at least I have a feeling it was 🎃

Such a helpful quote and comment, thank you. I think the poem and video really hit because, in all honesty, I’ve been unkind to my husband lately. We’re both under a lot of stress, and I carry most of the household weight, and well, I need to find a more constructive way of communicating. So, for that moment of recognition and remorse, I thank you.
And I note your distinction. The narcissist would feel no remorse, and that’s definitely not the case for me. I’m reminded of a very terrible pastor that we managed to finally kick out of our church who was very much of this type. He took half the church with him, and this who remained were terribly carved up as well by him.

Unlike you and your husband, narcissists and psychopaths feel no remorse about their harmful behavior—they are conscienceless and intentionally choose cruelty over kindness.
Such a helpful quote and comment, thank you. I think the poem and video really hit because, in all honesty, I’ve been unkind to my husband lately. We’re both under a lot of stress, and I carry most of the household weight, and well, I need to find a more constructive way of communicating. So, for that moment of recognition and remorse, I thank you.
And I note your distinction. The narcissist would feel no remorse, and that’s definitely not the case for me. I’m reminded of a very terrible pastor that we managed to finally kick out of our church who was very much of this type. He took half the church with him, and this who remained were terribly carved up as well by him.
“Healing from hidden psychological abuse” is the book our denominational leader led us through afterward. It was a good beginning for congregational healing, but I think we needed more after his terrible reign.

Commercial and much more nefarious interests, introduced the pagan ritual.
Most of the herd went along - blind, deaf and dumb.
Only the few, who read the clear writing on the wall, stuck to the higher ground.
Not as though it was written in hieroglyphics!
One wonders exactly how many can be saved, if the sign clearly states fear, death and destruction, yet most just march right on in.
The path home celebrates life, light and love.
Those who follow the path of life do not celebrate halloween.
